of ElleSolaire – Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative Ltd. Kelly is an innovative leader who, following ten-year international career in investment banking and financial services, connected with a deep purpose in relation to gender-based discrimination and violence.
For over a decade, Kelly’s work has been driven by a desire to create concrete positive change for women from the most marginalized communities in developing country contexts. Kelly is a passionate advocate for women’s entrepreneurship as a lever to bring about women’s economic and social empowerment following five years spent living and working in Saudi Arabia. Kelly has lived in Senegal since 2013 where her focus has turned to energy poverty and its effects on rural women. Kelly is committed to delivering sustainable women-led enterprise solutions to energy poverty, helping to combat gender inequality.
An action research-based approach underpins Kelly’s work. She is Author of ‘Giving Voice to Women Entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia’ and was a Research Fellow of the Ashridge Centre for Action Research. Kelly holds an MSc in Business Responsibility and Action Research Practice and a BSc in International Management and French from the University of Bath, U.K. Kelly is a British national who is fluent in French, Spanish and Italian. Kelly is mother to three young children and has a passion for nature and outdoor mountain exploits.
